This wedding was a blast! Eric, Amy and the entire wedding party were full of energy and made it a breeze to capture a great video.
The bridesmaids pooled their money to hire me as a surprise gift to the bride. It was fun to show up at the church where the bride and groom had no idea that they were going to have a videographer. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be awkward. You would think most brides aren’t a fan of surprises on their wedding day. Luckily, they were both excited to have me there.
The ceremony venue was at the First Baptist Church in Howell, Mich. It’s a typical space with tall white walls and ceiling. A decent amount of light comes in from the windows so exposure wasn’t much of a problem. Balancing the color on my two cameras was challenging, but with some tweaking in post it matches successfully.
The reception was at the Cleary University’s Johnson Center, also in Howell. The setup for the head table was nicely piped and draped. The color scheme of black and white with floral pops of color made for good video.
Thank you to Amy and Eric for allowing me to help capture your big day. Oh, and Jessica who made it all possible with that initial call.
